American Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez has confirmed that her debut album is now complete and fans can expect its release sometime this spring and the first single will arrive next month.
Jessica was caught by Billboard
at a recent American Idol event and she talked about her upcoming single. "I'm so ready for everyone to hear it!" she says. "It's going to be dancey and something that I could definitely see being remixed and in the clubs," adds Sanchez whose debut album will feature ballads but will exhibit "more of an R&B/Pop/Urban kind of feel." "It's completely Jessica Sanchez," she claims.
The Filipino-American singer also confirmed that R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo will be on one of her new tracks. "I love him so much and I can't believe that I got that opportunity to work with him. It's crazy!" shares Sanchez who said that collaborating with Ne-Yo was a life altering experience.
Jessica also reveals that she can't wait to work with Black Eyed Peas member and fellow Filipino apl.de.ap again. The two recently did a music video for "Jump In." "There's definitely some talk but we'll see what happens," she adds.
The 17-year old singer is currently busy gearing up for her first solo concert here in the Philippines on February 14, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. She will be joined by fellow American Idol season 11 contestant Colton Dixon.
