Fans were shocked to know that Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have called off their engagement. But were they the only ones suprised?

It was a sudden end to their year-long engagement as Britney Spears and Jason Trawick called it quits last week.
According to
showbizspy.com, Britney "didn't even know what was going on" and had no idea that the engagement was going to end soon. The source said that it was Jason and Britney's dad, Jamie's decision to announce the break up.
After the break up was announced last weekend, Britney's representative issued a statement to
People, "Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have mutually agreed to end their one-year engagement."
Spears and Trawick then issued their own statements.
"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends," said Spears' statement.
"As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever," adds Trawick.
showbizspy.com adds that Jason really wanted out but he was unsure how to end the relationship fearing on how Britney would take it, so he decided to talk to her dad instead.
