Singer Jessica Simpson to star in television comedy

Jessica Simpson is no stranger to a TV show based upon her life. And she is set to do it all over again!
The singer-actress is teaming up with TV network NBC and executive producer Ben Silverman for the scripted pilot of a yet to be entitled show, which they hope will be picked up and made into a series.
"The show is inspired by her life as she's going through a new phase in her life becoming a mom," said Silverman, creator of "The Biggest Loser" reality show.
32-year-old Simpson will play the role of a celebrity who tries her best to balance motherhood and her public figure status.
Simpson became a mom on May 2012 and is now pregnant with her second child which could make for some exciting TV plot lines. Simpson will also co-produce the show.
Jessica and her former husband Nick Lachey starred on the reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" which ran for three years in 2003-2005.
She last appeared on the film "Employee Of The Month" in 2006.
