VJ NIKKI To Star In Musical Comedy "They're Playing Our Song"!

"They're Playing Our Song" marks the return of VJ Nikki to the stage as she plays the role of Sonia Walsk.

VJ Nikki is set to return to the theater stage as she plays the lead role of Sonia Walsk in Tony Award-winning musical comedy "They're Playing Our Song."
The musical comedy is based on the real-life relationship of the show's Broadway creators, the late, great Tony Award-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch (A Chorus Line") and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Carole Bayer Sager ("Michael Jackson," "Celine Dion") "They're Playing Our Song" takes a peek into the trials that both Sonia (Nikki Gil) and Vernon (Lorenz Martinez) undergo before finding true love.
"I play the role of Sonia Walsk. She is a lyricist and she is weird," said VJ Nikki. It is a story of a composer, Vernon Gersch who meets lyricist Sonia Walsk. Vernon falls in love with Sonia, and Sonia falls head over heels for Vernon. "It is the journey of their relationship," adds VJ Nikki who claims that the story of the musical comedy is very relatable for everyone. "Tayong mga Pinoy we love talking about love, we love being in love!" she says.
This will be VJ Nikki's fourth theater play after "Seussical The Musical" (2007), "Legally Blonde: The Musical" (2010) and "Sweet Charity" (2011).
"They're Playing Our Song" will open at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati on February 9th.
