ADELE's 'Skyfall' Is Earning A Lot Of Recognition!

Adele may be out of the public's eye for months now, but her single "Skyfall" has been earning a lot of recognition!

Adele's "Skyfall" from the Bond film of the same title is drawing a lot of attention from Hollywood's biggest award-winning bodies.
A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that "Skyfall" is nominated for Best Original Song in the upcoming Golden Globes Ceremony going up against Taylor Swift's "Safe & Sound" from "The Hunger Games," Bon Jovi's "Not Running Anymore" from "Stand Up Guys," Keith Urban's "For You" from "Act of Valor," and "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables."
At the recently concluded 2013 Critics' Choice Awards, "Skyfall" went home with the Best Song award. Adele and co-writer Paul Epworth took home the bacon, winning over Keith Urban's "For You" from "Act of Valor," Paul Williams' "Still Alive from "Paul Williams Still Alive," Hugh Jackman's "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables," and Mumford & Sons' "Learn Me Right" from "Brave."
But it doesn't stop there. Last night, Adele's "Skyfall" scored an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. It is the first Academy Awards nominee for Best Original Song in 10 years to have also been a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Bond theme will go up against "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables," "Pi's Lullaby" from "Life of Pi," "Before My Time" from the documentary "Chasing Ice," and "Everybody Needs A Friend" from "Ted."
"Skyfall" peaked at no. 8 and has sold 1.3 million copies, according to SoundScan. The last top 10 song to receive a nomination was Eminem's "Lose Yourself" from his movie "8 Mile." It reached No. 1 in November 2002, spent a total of 12 weeks atop the list, and went on to win the Academy Award the following year.
Adele released "Skyfall," last October 5 and it became the singer's first single to debut in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
