Justin Bieber's former personal bodyguard is suing him for assault and battery and wages after a backstage incident where JB allegedly lost his temper and punched him repeatedly in the chest and then fired him.
According to the complaint, of which E! News
obtained a copy, Moshe Benabou claims he is owed $421,261 in unpaid wages, unspecified damages and court costs after working overtime to protect the teenage superstar.
Benabou stated in the documents that the dispute between himself and Bieber that led to the incident took place on October 10, 2012 while they were backstage before a concert.
What triggered the incident was the attempt by Benabou to keep one member of Bieber's entourage away from the superstar.
The former bodyguard also stated that he did not attempt to protect himself. After repeatedly punching him, Bieber turned around and shouted, "You are fired!"
Bieber's minder asserts he's entitled to overtime pay for working in excess of 12 hours a day, seven days a week, with a total of $396,391 in damages, as well as money owed for vacation wages and wages owed immediately after his employment was terminated.
Bieber's camp have yet to issue a statement regarding this issue.
