Manila auditions of the international hit musical "Miss Saigon" closed yesterday at the Opera Haus in Makati City.
Rachelle Ann Go, who played the title role of "The Little Mermaid" last year, was the last woman standing who made it to the very end among the other hopefuls for the role of "Kim". She first auditioned on Tuesday and made it to the callbacks and the final audition round yesterday at the Philippine Opera Company headquarters in Makati City.
MYX VJ K-La Rivera was also seen yesterday at the final round of auditions but it wasn't clear if she was able to make it through.
Karylle, Ciara Sotto and Angeline Quinto were not able to make it beyond the callbacks.
Although it was initially announced that the Manila auditions are for the revival of "Miss Saigon" in London, a sign at the auditions said that it is "still undetermined" when the musical will open in the West End.
"Hence, there shall be no cast announcements made during the course of this audition exercise." the sign said.
