Gloc-9 continues to use his music to create social awareness. He releases "Sirena", the first single off his brand new album "Mga Kuwento Ng Makata" under Universal Records. This time, he upholds the flag of the gay community and talks about the struggles of a gay person in our society. Singer/songwriter Ebe Dancel shares his unique vocal style to the song as he sings the chorus which goes: "Ako'y isang sirena. Kahit anong sabihin nila ako'y ubod ng ganda. Ako'y isang sirena. Kahit anong gawin nila bandera ko'y 'di tutumba."
MYXph was present during the shoot for the song's music video. "The song chronicles the life of a gay person. Mula sa pagkabata hanggang sa deathbed nung tatay niya," reveals Ebe in our interview during the shoot. Gloc-9 asks you to watch out for the music video. "Sana suportahan niyo po sa MYX. I-vote niyo po online. Sana makita namin araw-araw sa charts," says the rapper whose real name is Aristotle Polisco.
The music video is directed by J. Pacena who has worked with the rapper on "Walang Natira", "Upuan" and MYX Music Awards 2012 Favorite Urban Video "Elmer". The "Sirena" video will also feature prominent gay personalities in the entertainment industry. MYX will be premiering it soon so watch out for it!
