Another music legend has lost a battle with cancer. Donna Summer, dubbed as the "Queen of Disco" has succumbed to cancer as reported to
TMZ. She was 63.
[UPDATE] She was said to have
lung cancer she has contracted from the toxic particles after the 9/11 attacks in New York. Her family has already released a statement that they "are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continue legacy."
The singer has reported to have kept mum about her illness and was currently working on a new record according to sources.
She leaves behind his husband, Bruce Sudano and two daughters.
Donna Summer was the voice behind the timeless dance hits, "Last Dance", "Hot Stuff", "She Works Hard For The Money" and "Love To Love You Baby". She has won 5 Grammys and has shaped an entire music era in the 70's and the 80's with her disco tracks.
