The global smash hit musical has arrived in the Manila!
Mamma Mia! is based on the hit songs of Swedish supergroup ABBA. Set in picturesque Greece, Mamma Mia! tells the story of a single mother, Donna (Sara Poyzer), coping with the forthcoming wedding of her daughter Sophie (Charlotte Wakefield). The story unfolds when Sophie decides to invite three of her mother's former flames in a quest to find her true biological father. Donna, caught unaware, struggles with her feelings for the different men.
This enchanting tale of love, friendship and family comes together in soaring and infectious ABBA tunes including “Dancing Queen,” “Knowing Me, Knowing You,” “S.O.S.,” “Take a Chance on Me” and “The Winner Takes It All.” The 2008 film adaptation of the musical starred Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried as Donna and Sophie, respectively.
