Brenan, the 1st Runner up in GMA 7’s Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 1 is now back with a vengeance promoting his self-titled album produced by DJ M.O.D. under Bellhaus Entertainment Inc. to be released this coming June 2009. This is his debut solo album and it defines a man’s point of view about love, getting hurt and moving on. The album has 8 fresh tracks including a revival of the chart topping love song “Forevermore” by Side A band. His first single, “Di Nagpaalam” a song about acceptance, made its mark on Philippine Television currently being used in the widely popular Koreanovela “Chill Princesses” on GMA 7.
His latest single “I’m yours & your mine”, is a hopeful song about a relationship going through a rough time but still looking into the bright side. It’s a sure hit, currently being played regularly in upscale radio stations.
Brenan started recording at age 7 under Values Media for the theme song “Munting Bayani”, then became former member of “Kaya” supervised by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab and BMG Records Pilipinas in 1991 – 2001.
He has received numerous awards while climbing his way to the top of the music industry as an artist. Just recently he was awarded the 2009 Best Male Artist of the Philippine Digital Music and Short Film Festival Awards. Among his other achievements was being part of the Himig Handog sa Makabagong Kabataan Songwriting Competition in 2001 where in as a member of KAYA, they interpreted the Grand Winner’s song entry. He was also a Gold Medalist in the 10th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts, Hollywood, USA in 2006 (5 medals for Solo category and 2 for Duet category with Jonalyn Viray), Brenan was also pronounced as the Most Promising Male Singer in the 37th Box Office Entertainment Awards of the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc., (GMMSF, Inc.) in 2007, and Brenan is also a familiar face on television being a regular of SOP (2006) and having guest appearances on famous shows such as Eat Bulaga, Mel & Joey, SiS, Unang Hirit and Maynila. He was also part of Jay-R and Kyla's Valentine Concert at the Aliw Theatre last 2006.
There’s definitely no stopping “The Soul Sensation” from soaring to the top…
